Solarlab Aiko Europe GmbH was founded in 2020 with the goal of bringing together the best of two worlds:
“Chinese mass production know-how” and “European R&D expertise” to further increase the efficiency of Solar Cells and to fight Global Warming.
With Aiko Solar being one of the world’s largest producers of bifacial PERC Solar Cells and also being the biggest exporter of Solar Cells to the European module manufacturing market, the question arises: “What comes beyond PERC?” and “How to serve Aiko’s global customer base in an optimum way?”.
The first questions is answered by intense cooperation with top European research institutes, the second by the planning of an European production site to serve Aiko Solar’s customers with local cells with low carbon footprint and with maximum reliability of the supply chain.

Aiko Solar is one of the major vendors of PERC cells across the globe that has business in R&D, production, and sale of solar cells with leading technology of manufacturing PERC cells and capability of producing and supplying them.
The company has three production bases of high efficiency PERC cells respectively in Foshan of Guangdong, Yiwu of Zhejiang, and Tianjin, expected to generate a combined capacity of 36GW by the end of 2021.
The company manifests a strong presence in the international market, with products sold in South Korea, Japan, India, and Europe, making it the world’s top cell exporter and gaining the trust of crystalline silicon module producers around the world.
